Samsung releases a stability-improving update for Galaxy S25 phones, without the November patch

Samsung has started the worldwide release of the new update for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 FE. "Android Headlines" reported that the update looks to make the device more stable and reliable, it does not bring the November 2026 security patch.

The size of the update varies from 400 MB to 800 MB, depending on the model and region. The changelog states that there are no new features, the update solely focusing on the stability of the software.

While the rollout is worldwide, it is occurring in batches so you may get it earlier than other users. You can manually check if the update is available by heading to Settings > System Updates > Check for Updates.

All four devices should be getting the update for the November 2026 security patch very soon, but because it is a security update, it doesn't expect any new features.

The following devices will be eligible for the One UI 9.5 update that is expected early next year, then One UI 10 based on Android 18. It has also been previously reported that Samsung is in the process of internal beta testing for One UI 9.5 on the Galaxy S26.

The rollout of One UI 9 is also being extended to other Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy A54, A26, and A27. There are several Galaxy devices that received Android 17 on tech sites.
