Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 receives the October 2026 security update, which addresses 62 vulnerabilities
Samsung has started releasing a new software update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 along with the October 2026 security patch. Sam Mobile reports the new update would fix 62 security bugs that were spotted in the earlier software.
According to Kailash, the update is rolling out in South Korea, with 260.66MB of file size and version number L715NKOU1AZJ5. It is likely Samsung will widen the rollout to other countries in the days to come.
The user is able to see if an update is available by going into the Galaxy Wearable app, then going into Watch Settings > Watch software update > Check for updates.
This is the second update for this watch so far; the initial came with the August 2026 patch, skipping the September 2026 update. Interestingly, Samsung has also already revealed the November 2026 security patch.
Back in July, Samsung announced the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with enhancements to display, performance, and battery life. Galaxy Watch Ultra received a security update with the July 2026 patch in the past. Meanwhile, a new Galaxy Watch 9 was also introduced in July, which will offer you faster performance with a bigger battery.
