Honor officially unveils the Honor 700 series, featuring a small rear display, and opens pre-orders
Honor has announced the Honor 700 series, consisting of three models namely the Honor 700, Honor 700 Pro and Honor 700S. The series comes with a small front-facing secondary display integrated on the back and is available for pre-order.
Although the firm has not officially introduced the release date or the specifications of the three models, it has added all three variants to the official Honor store, along with the pre-payment options and benefits. Honor has also assured that more information about the major upgrades will be out soon.
As per the official renders, the series will be offered in four different colours – Cold White, Clear Sky, Blue Tone and Pink Mist. The new series (as compared to the Honor 600 series) seems to have a vertical camera module with two sensors placed vertically on the left side of the camera module, with an LED flash on one side.
Next to the camera module is a small, square-shaped rear display with rounded edges. It offers customizable themes, clock styles, and image previews (though it's not clear yet what all of those are). It's a departure from the last generation, which had a removable, circular magnetic display, in favor of a Xiaomi-like approach.
Honor 700 is being launched in four different variations – 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB. The Honor 700 Pro comes in three variations-12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB-while the Honor 700S is being launched in two – 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB. Buyers can avail of one year of warranty on a broken display, one year of warranty on a broken back display, and a 365-day replacement guarantee with pre-booking.
In past leaks, a 200mm zoom periscope lens was spotted on the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro; it has now been proposed that Honor will bring the Magic 9 series' zoom camera on board the Honor 700 series. In another update, a second leak claims that the company is testing a device powered by a 15,000mAh battery.
