The Honor WIN 2 series camera features a 200-megapixel resolution but lacks a telephoto lens

So the newest technical leaks about the Honor WIN 2 lineup i guess are pointing to some really awaited information, mostly for the gaming smartphone crowd, and yeah the camera system seems to be the main focus.

From what’s being said, the brand is trying hard to push the primary camera resolution way up, while also adding special hardware meant for graphics processing so gameplay stays smooth and “top-tier” all the time, even when things get hectic, or whatever.

Honor WIN 2 Series dual camera setup

The leaker Digital Chat Station (you know, the fairly familiar source) says the Honor WIN 2 series will come with a dual-camera rear design. The headline part is a huge 200-megapixel main sensor, and that should be matched with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

Also, the Honor WIN 2 series apparently doesn’t include a dedicated telephoto camera for optical zoom. That part feels like a shift compared to the prior generation, which had a 50-megapixel main shooter using a Sony LYT-700 sensor, then a 50-megapixel telephoto lens (Sony IMX856), plus a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front there was also a 50-megapixel selfie unit, so yeah the lineup changes a bit here.

Technical specifications and full details for the gaming phone

Beyond the lenses, the Honor WIN 2 series is rumored to sport a 2K display with a 185Hz refresh rate, and it includes 5920Hz PWM dimming. There are also ultra-slim 0.93mm bezels, which sounds pretty tight in the real world.

Performance-wise, it’s said to be built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. There’s also a cooling system with dual fans, and the power side comes from a 10,100 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging as well as wireless charging, so not just one way.

Other bits mentioned include dual stereo speakers (1216), an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. For durability, it’s claimed to have IP68, IP69, and IP69K water/dust resistance , which is honestly a lot on paper.

Final note

Full official information is expected to be revealed on October 21, so we’ll see if these details hold up when the curtains drop.
